Embedded Networking Software Developer

What we do 

The Embedded Networking Team within the RTS (real-time software) department is developing and maintaining Ethernet-related hardware and software products (like device drivers and protocol stacks).

An emerging area in this field are products for Ethernet/TSN (Time Sensitive Networking). We are looking for software developers which help us to bring TSN-based product to market. A particular focus here is on the TSN component for time synchronization and traffic shaping.

Your tasks

You will

• analyze customer requirements
• design and implement software for our real-time systems and
• perform the corresponding quality measures
• analyze problems reported by our customers
• identify a develop problem solutions

As we work as an agile team, we expect you to be involved in all of the areas mentioned above.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience with POSIX compliant real-time systems (for example QNX or real-time Linux)
• Experience with Ethernet-based communication protocols (UDP, TCP, etc.)
• Experience with at least one TSN technologies
• Time Synchronization (IEEE 802.1AS/gPTP)
• Traffic Shaping (Credit Based Shaping 802.1Qav, Time Aware Shaping 802.1Qbv or any other TSN Shaper)
• Programming language experience with C/C++
